Crawling!

We officially have a crawler on our hands!  At nearly 11 months old Rhoslyn is finally crawling forward.

Now she will be into everything.

Today

We had a pretty productive Sunday, but also enjoyed the nice weather!  This morning Billy cut the grass... well only half the yard and then our lawn mower decided to take a "crap" on us.  Afterwards we filled up the kids pool and let Alex play with the hose.  Meanwhile Rhoslyn napped and I was a cleaning maniac trying to get our house back in order.

After naps the kids both got in the pool and the water was like bath water.  So... mom decided to get in too and before we knew it daddy was in too.  Can you just picture all four of us in this little plastic pool?!  Sorry... no pictures of that one!  We had fun though.

Alex loves to help cut the grass.  I was laughing just watching him follow daddy around the yard.

Alex helping Dad cut the grass!

Rhoslyn playing in the pool for the first time.  The water was so warm from the sun, it was perfect!

Alex had so much fun playing in the pool today!  You should have seen the water... it was completely full of sand and grass!

Playing on the blanket after getting out of the pool.  Gotta love her faces.

Poor Alex

Alex has had such a rough week....

1.  Dad had to leave again after being gone for a week.
2.  Has had a fever on and off since Sunday afternoon.
3.  Has been congested.
4.  Doesn't have an appetite and his stomach hurts.
5.  And to top it all off... has PINK EYE.

The worst part about the pink eye is the drops.  They sting when I put them in and I literally have to hold him down.  I am definately putting a call in to see if he can have something else.

He has had such a terrible week.  So whiney.  So moody.  So tired.  I feel terrible for him.

Crayon Eater

So just before I put the kids down for a nap I was in my room folding laundry.  Alex and Rhoslyn were in the playroom right next door.  Alex was coloring and Rhoslyn was supposed to be playing with her toys...

I mentioned to Alex to keep the crayons away from Rhoslyn so she doesn't eat them.  Then I hear him saying, "No Rhoslyn, mom said you couldn't have the crayons."  "Rhoslyn, stop trying to eat my crayons."  "Ugh, Rhoslyn mom said no crayons!"  I can hear him and I am trying so hard not to laugh out loud.

I walk into the room and see Rhoslyn chewing on a big brown crayon.  As soon as she spotted me she dropped it and had this look on her face as if she wasn't doing anything wrong!

I wish I would have had the camera by me!

It's been awhile

Here I am, it is 1:00 a.m. and I cannot fall asleep!  What better time to post a few pictures of the kids.

She wasn't liking the grass... but doesn't she look cute in her suit?!

First run through the sprinkler this year!!

Pretty sure next summer this boy will be on a T-Ball team!  He loves baseball.

Trying so hard to crawl... we still aren't there yet.

Alex's first dentist appointment

Alex had his first ever dentist appointment, or as they call it "happy visit."  He did fairly well with letting them count his teeth and that was about it.  He got to hold a very cool dragon called Danny that had a huge mouth full of teeth and a super big yellow tooth brush.  This was pretty cool.

The appointment was going great until a discolored spot was found on a back molor.  Alex officially has his first cavity.  I am trying to keep my head up about this, but it just bugs me!  This is a kid who rarely gets candy, has never even had a sucker, gets watered down juice about twice a week unless it's a special occasion, and has had about 4 sips of soda his entire life.  Ugh.

I guess he is doomed with my teeth.  Oh joy.

When I go back for my next ortho appointment Alex will be getting his cavity filled.  Of course, I am pretty nervous about it.  They are filling us a perscription for some sedation medication to give to him beforehand and he shouldn't remember a thing... hopefully.  I hated the dentist as a child and I still get anxious now, so I definately do not want my children to have the same experiences.

Lets hope it goes well!
