Just a quick note

Rhoslyn did something super cute today!  When we change her we always smell her feet and say Pee you!

Today she laid her care bear and baby doll on the couch.  Smelled their feet and said, "pee-oo."

Too funny!

Snack Time?

Here is Rhoslyn's idea of snack time.  Apparently she was hungry and couldn't wait for someone to get the pretzels for her.

And yes... she is eating them off of the floor.  She's a classy girl I tell ya!

She then proceeded to throw a fit when I swept them up and put them in the garbage can....

Bubbles Bubbles, Everywhere!

Rhoslyn's first real experience with the bubble wands.  After awhile she dumped the trays... yep, thats my girl!

Alex trying super hard to blow bubbles out.  Then he ran to chase after them.

Loving this weather!

Our family is definately enjoying this beautiful weather!  After being cooped up all winter, we feel so free to be outside.

Today was in the 80's here in Green Bay.  Rhoslyn wore a dress and Alex had shorts on.  Crazy for March, but I am not complaining!

We filled up the water table and the kids had a ton of fun playing and getting wet.  Alex even took Rhoslyn for a ride in his jeep... she wasn't too fond of that.

Daddy was even able to buy a used riding lawn mower... pretty sure he's in heaven about that!!

Skyping with Auntie Kelly and Baby Wyatt

Tonight we were able to talk with Auntie Kelly on the computer and see baby Wyatt.  He is so cute!!  Alex said over and over that he was so cute and couldn't wait to see him.  We got to see him get his diaper changed, get dressed, and get fed.  He even had the hiccups (poor bub).  Alex thought it was funny when he heard Wyatt poop and burp (gotta love boys)!

Rhoslyn enjoyed watching baby Wyatt and said pee pee and poopy when Auntie Kelly was changing his diaper.

He is such a handsome little man!

Proud of Alex

I just want to say that I am very proud of Alex.

For quite a while we were struggling with him learning how to get himself dressed.  He is a bit of a perfectionist (like his mom), so when he couldn't get things the right way the first time it was a huge meltdown.

Now, instead of constantly asking us to help him get dressed he asks us to help get his clothes ready.  Which means... putting them right side out.  He can now get his shirt, pants, and undies on by himself.  He is also working on getting socks on by himself and can usually get his pull-up on before bed.

The next thing to work on is making sure he doesn't remove his pants and underwear when going potty and getting his own jacket on.  We are very proud of him.  I can't even tell you how big of a struggle this has been in our house, but we just keep reminding him that when he is in 4k he has to be able to take care of himself.

1 month and 1 day until our baby boy turns 4.  Daddy and I are happy and sad all at the same time.

A day at the zoo

This morning we spent a few hours at the zoo in Green Bay.  The kids were so excited, especially Alex.  He is really into animals right now and couldn't wait to see what animals we would find.

Alex's favorite animals were the otters, snakes, the fish, the owl, the lions, and the lizards.

Rhoslyn loved the Tamerans and the giraffes the most.

Next time daddy will have to come with us!

How...

do you get a 19 month old to take her Amoxicillan 3 times a day when she absolutely refuses to take anything from a syringe....

Now let me just start by saying that at first I mixed her medicine into the smoothie (saving half of the smoothie for later).

Then we were getting low and I was sick of mixing it so I just started cleaning out this little container and straw and saved it.

Her next doses of medicine just went straight into this little cup with a straw, and low and behold she drank it.  Really?!  It tastes the same coming from a syringe but no way was she going to let me put a syringe in her mouth!

Chalk Fun

After dinner we took the kids outside and opened up a fresh container of chalk!  It was already getting a bit dark out, but the temperature was great!

Mom showing her drawing skills with her famous frog face!

Alex's drawing of Mom.  I love his people!!

Rhoslyn had a lot of fun with the chalk.  Then she got bored and walked around and started throwing rocks.  Yep she likes to throw things. =)

And this totally doesn't have anything to do with chalk, but Rhoslyn had her first taste of a paczki.

Yum!

Brother and Sister

It's really neat to see how your kids interact with eachother. Except the fighting....

Rhoslyn has a favorite chair (Mariann, it's the red one you gave to me).  She gets SO mad if Alex sits in it.  It is her chair and her chair only!

Of course, Alex being the big brother thinks it's amusing when she gets frutrated.  If she leaves a toy (like her ride on pony) he will go and have his turn.  This really makes her mad.  She can be seen going to a wall and putting her head against it crying and screaming or laying face down on the floor.

Great times, great times.

But... then there are moments like the photo above that make having a brother and sister so special!  They really are sweet with eachother and I can already see Alex being the protective big brother.

Bowling

Alex went bowling for the first time last weekend when he stayed with Grandma and Grandpa O.  He had a ton of fun!  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for taking Alex bowling!

1 step closer...

The owner of the house we put an offer in has accepted our offer!  We were actually pretty surprised considering it's a lot lower then her initial asking price.  Now it's off to the bank to see if they accept it....

Now we wait and wait and wait (and hopefully we will get some great news at the end)....
