This must be a record!

Wow, three posts in one day?!

Anyway, this poor little girl below is the real reason I am doing a third blog today.  Just look at her... it breaks my heart.

She has two molars coming in, a runny nose, sneezing, coughing, and to top it off a double ear infection.  She spent the day either sitting or laying around watching cartoons.  She doesn't want to eat and definately doesn't want to take any medicine.  Any tips out there to get your child to take medicine?  Alex usually takes his like a pro.

I hope she starts feeling better soon!

Welcome Baby Wyatt

We want to welcome to the world baby Wyatt!  He was born 02/28/12 at 8:26 am (Australian) and he weighed in at 7lbs. 4oz. and 20 inches long!  Pretty good size for being three weeks early!

He is absolutely adorable!  We are so very happy for Kelly and Birgitta!  Congratulations Mama's!!

House Update

Wow, buying a house sure is frustrating!  First we find one we really like, get an accepted offer, but then have a terrible inspection.  Then the hunting really begins.

We have looked at quite a few homes over the last week or so and we found one we are totally in love with.  Biggest downfall, it's a short sale.  Of course!  For those who don't know how the process is with a short sale... there is nothing "short" about it.  We really love the house though and if we can get a good price for it we are willing to wait it out.  So we met with our realtor last night and put in an offer.  Now we wait to hear from the owner of the house and if she accepts it moves onto the bank where we wait for them to accept or decline our offer.  This can take a long time....

On the plus side, the seller is very motivated to get it off her hands and she has already started the process on her end so she is a bit ahead of the game.

Please keep your fingers crossed for us that this works out.  So far the closing date should be on or before May 31st.  It's going to be a long wait...

Some info on the house:  It's two stories and around 2200 sq. ft.  It has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths upstairs, first floor laundry (yay!!), a very nice and large kitchen, living room and half bath on the main level.  The basement is finished with another bedroom and family/rec room.  It is also nearly a half acre lot, so lots of room for the kids to run around.

Oatmeal and Dinosaurs

So what do you do in Wisconsin when it's winter... well you get creative.  Although this really isn't that creative...

A container full of oatmeal and plastic dinosaurs is sure to be a good time!  Nevermind the fact that Rhoslyn thought it was more fun to dump it on the floor so mom could sweep a million times.

I will update you all on the house front shortly...

18 months old

A little behind, but Rhoslyn has hit 18 months.

1. She is so sweet and silly.
2. She is a bit dramatic.  When she gets upset she puts her hands to her face and pouts.
3. She is facing forward in the car now.
4. Unfortunately she already likes cartoons...
5. According to her, every animal says "moooo."
6. We are pretty sure she talks Japanese.
7. She is sleeping in a toddler bed now.
8. She loves Elmo and Winnie the Pooh.
9. She doesn't like sharing.  Just the other day her friend Brooklyn (who is 9 months old) tried to take a toy from her and she wipped it behind her back and said, "HEY!"
10. She gets mad at Alex when he is in her space.
11. She loves stuffed animals and her taggie.

She really is growing up too fast!  She definately has her mom's attitude.  She can be sweet and funny one minute and a total crab the next.  She keeps us busy thats for sure!

Buying our first home!

Most of you have heard that we are in the process of buying our first house!  We are so excited about it.  As long as the home gets de-winterized this weekend we are set for the home inspection Monday as well as meeting with our lender to get the loan going.  We already found out we have a locked in rate of 3.75%!  I can't believe we are getting a rate that low!

As well as the home inspection goes well we will have a new home!  It is a foreclosed home, so if by chance the home inspection turns up a lot of repairs we will have to back out (dependent on costs).  Keep your finger's crossed for us that all goes well.  So far the process is going great!

The closing date is set for March 15th, just in time for a weekend full of painting!  We are absolutely thrilled to be moving into our very OWN HOME!  It will be such a great feeling to know that once we unpack the boxes they can go right into recycling and not be used again (at least by us)!!

I am sure our past movers will be ecstatic to know this will be the last move for a VERY long time (and hopefully forever).

2012 is looking to be a great year for the Anderson Family!
