So many tears...

Crying and screaming.

Chasing mom crying and screaming.

Oh wait, more crying. (At this point Alex could be seen covering his ears)

This pretty much sums up Rhoslyn's day today.

She's had a rough one today.

Back to preschool

Alex had his first day back to preschool today!  Thank goodness for that!  He said he had a ton of fun, met some new kids and saw some kids that were in his class last session.  He loves his teachers so much.  When I got him dressed in his jeans and shirt this morning he asked, "do you think Mrs. Paulson will think I am handsome today?"  Too cute!

And here is a little advice...

When your child comes into your room at 4:30 in the morning and says he needs to blow his nose... be alarmed.  Of course I told Alex to just go and blow his nose.  I was too tired to even open my eyes and look at him.  Minutes later he walked into the room and said he needed help.  I turned the lamp on to discover he had blood all over his face and hands.  Poor kid.  He had a bloody nose and was trying to clean it up himself.  One of those moments that makes you feel like a crap mom.   Meh.

And to think it's only Monday...

Not to be a total Debbie Downer but I miss my husband and the kids miss their daddy.  It's so hard watching them have to say goodbye and be so confused that daddy won't be home for a week.

Everyday Alex asks if dad will be home for dinner.  Unfortunately the answer is always no.

There may be light at the end of the tunnel for us.  Billy found out he may not have to spend as much time in Wausau as anticipated.  Lets hope they get someone else to cover the work.  My kids need their daddy back home.  I take him working 65 hours a week and able to come home every night versus being gone for 5 days at a crack for weeks and weeks (or possibly months).

Blah.

Rocky Road

It's going to be a rocky road for us the next few months...

Billy is going to be working Monday thru Friday out of town every week for up to six months.  Lets hope I don't go insane while he is gone! =)

If anyone has any fun kid activities please send them my way, I need to keep us extra busy!!

Since I will pretty much have zero interaction with adults I welcome any phone calls. =)

And... because I hate not having a photo in my blog, here is one of the kids playing play doh.

No Snow?

I'm really not complaining... I PROMISE!  It was so nice out the other day we made sure we got out to play in the yard.

It's not lasting for long...

Tomorrow's forcast:  SNOW!!

No husband home to help shovel either... oh and I should mention that I have bronchitis.  Fun times.

Alex A.

Okay one more post for the day....

While making some pictures I helped Alex write his name.  He held the pen while I wrote the letters.  Of course... I wrote Alex.  Then he proceeded to tell me this... "No mom, my name is Alex A. not just Alex."

You may ask where this comes from.  At preschool there is another Alex in his class and that is Alex S.  So now, anytime we write his name he insists that it says Alex. A. because that is how it is written at preschool.

We love this kid!

Math Matician?

For the past few weeks Alex has been asking us to add up numbers for him.  Here is how it typically goes...

Alex: "Mom, whats plus 2 and 2?"
Mom: "4"
Alex: "Whats plus 4 and 4?"
Mom: "8"

And so on and so on....

Everyday he asks me to add numbers for him.  The funniest part about it all is that he doesn't say "5 + 5" it is always "plus # and #."

As Billy and I always say.... he is too smart for his own good.

He also knows how to write the letter "A" but it really looks more like an "H."  I just cannot believe how fast he is growing and in just a few months he will be turning 4!  He is slimming down so much and getting so tall that there is no more baby left in him.
