Reunited

.... and it feels so good!

Thanks to Auntie Shauna for mailing Rhoslyn's taggie and her pooh bear in the mail!

It's been so sad... every time we lay her down she says "Taggie, taggie."  While reaching out her hand.

As soon as she saw her taggie she was so happy.  She swiped it right out of my hand and put it to her face.  I don't think she is going to be letting go of it for awhile.  =)

Shots are not fun at all!

Alex had his 4 year check up today.  He is growing like a weed... 41 3/4 inches long and 44 1/2 lbs!

He had a quick eye exam and hearing test and he passed with flying colors!  We opted for shots today so that he won't have to get anymore until he is 11.  Mine as well get it done and over with right?!

He recieved three shots and he was not happy.  He was shaking on the exam table because he was so tense and scared.  The nurses are so wonderful there and brought him a bag of goodies (snacks, crayons, tattoo, etc) and even a teddy bear for him to take home.  Rhoslyn immediately snatched the bear and is currently napping with it.  I guess they are just going to have to share it....

Afterwards we went to Wal Mart and I treated him to a lunchable.  We also grabbed some angry bird bandaids.  Pretty sure he is over it now.  =)

Little Moments

It's little moments like tonight that make being a parent so amazing.  We let Alex stay up late to finish a movie.  We put him to bed and he was still smiling from ear to ear.  He walked out of his room a minute after we tucked him in and came to tell us thank you for the presents and for the party.  He has such a huge smile on his face.  I asked him why he was so smiley and he said he was so happy and had such a fun day.  He said he loved us again.  It just melts my heart.  These are moments I hope I never forget.

Happy 4th Birthday Birthday Alex!

It's crazy to think that this little guy is already four years old!  It seems like just yesterday when we had a chubby little baby crawling around.

We celebrated with friends and family over.  It was such a special and fun day for him.  Only one minor melt down (which was probably because he was overwhelmed by the amount of people over and the excitment that was going on).

I loved his reactions while opening gifts.  "Are these all for me?"  "Can I open all of them?"  Such a special boy he is to recieve so many wonderful presents.

This morning I asked Alex some questions....

Favorite Movie: Cars 2
Favorite Color: Purple
Favorite thing to eat: Peanut butter sandwich
Favorite thing to drink: Water
Favorite Book: Just a mess
Favorite toy: Dragon (Imaginext)
Favorite thing to do with dad: Go to the store
Favorite thing to do with mom: Play
Favorite place to go: Grandma and Grandpa’s
Best Friend: Lexi
Favorite flavor of ice cream: Chocolate

Thank you to everyone who helped make his birthday a memorable one!

Happy Birthday Buddy!

Happy Easter!

Saturday we dyed Easter Eggs with the kids.  They sure had a lot of fun.  Our eggs always end up with a funky color on them because the kids enjoy putting them in multiple colors.  Of course Rhoslyn was mad when we said it was time to be done. =)

Today the kids woke up (Alex was up at 5:30!) to find their Easter baskets filled with goodies.  Once Rhoslyn opened up a plastic egg and discovered there were jelly beans inside, she really didn't care about the rest.  She sat contently eating every jelly bean in her egg.  Alex was very enthusiastic about everything he recieved.  He is very excited to try out his kite, but a bit frustrated that he can't figure out how to use his jump rope.

After breakfast and getting dressed for the day we headed over to grandma and grandpa Ritter's house.  We had a great time spending the day with them and the Gnorski family.  The Easter bunny even left some eggs in the yard for the kids and some goodies inside.  Rhoslyn spent most of her time exploring grandma and grandpa's house and sleeping.  =)  Alex spent his time playing with Katelyn and Michael.  Michael and Alex sat together on the couch and played games.... it was a cute site.

Get ready for a picture overload!!

Rhoslyn is 20 months old!

Our baby girl is only 4 months away from turning two.  We cannot believe it!  As always, here is a bit of what Rhoslyn is up to right now...

She can say approximately 40 or so words and is saying 2-3 word sentences.  Some of her phrases are;

1. Daddy Home
2. What did you do?
3. Jew (Juice)
4. Wah Wah (water)
5. Here you go
6. Brober (brother)
7. Two, three, two!
8. Buh-bye, See ya
9. Ta-da!
10. Pease (please)
11. Tank-oo (Thank you)
12. Choo choo go nigh nigh (looking at Thomas flash cards when Thomas is sleeping)
13. I know
14. Potty and Poo Poo

Besides talking all of the time she loves playing with babies.  She kisses her babies, puts them to bed, feeds them a bottle, wraps them in blankets, takes them for walks in her shopping cart, and burps them.  She is so sweet with her babies.

She is wearing mostly 24 month and 2T clothes now.  Her favorite shirt is her Winnie the Pooh and Piglet shirt.

She LOVES Winnie the Pooh!  She can sit and watch almost a whole Winnie the Pooh movie (if she is tired enough).

Her favorite book right now is Ten Little Fingers and Ten Little Toes by Mem Fox.  She recieved this book from her Auntie Kelly and Auntie Birgitta.  She will bring it to us and sit on our lap so we can read it to her.  She loves the babies in the book.

She loves taking rides in her stroller and playing outside.  Everytime daddy comes home from work she gets really excited to see him and says "Daddy home."  She loves to snuggle up with mommy, especially if she is tired or is having a rough day.

Painting!

Wearing her brothers rain boots that are too big for her!  She could barely walk in them.

Rhoslyn put her kitty by the kitty's food so it could eat.

Kissing her baby.

Being a silly girl!

Angry Birds

Well our family has finally made it on the Angry Bird band wagon!  Billy spoiled our family with a Kindle Fire over the weekend and we are all obsessed with it!  Alex is having so much fun playing games on it (okay... mom is too).

Today Alex had to do some chores around the house to earn his time playing Angry Birds while Rhoslyn is napping.  We were just getting him set up when he says, "Mom, I could have an angry bird birthday party or an octonaut birthday party."  I quickly reminded him that he WILL be having an Octonaut party!  =)  Can I just mention that they do not make anything as far as Octonaut party supplies... this mom has put too much work into this party to change it over to Angry Birds.  *Sigh*

I told him maybe next year.  =)
