Happy 7 month Rhoslyn!

Rhoslyn is seven months old today, can you believe it?!  I weighed her on our bathroom scale and it looks like she is 16 lbs.  Not sure what her length is but she is wearing 6-9 month clothes.
She is a happy and energetic little girl!  She loves to kick her legs when she is sitting or laying down.  She does not like when you eat in front of her unless you have something for her to nibble on... so she definately enjoys her bisquits and mum mum's.  She of course still LOVES baby food.  She is even learning how to use her sippy cups and she is getting pretty good at it too.

She loves getting attention and isn't too happy when you walk away.  Of course this makes it difficult for mom to get anything done.  She adores Alex, except when he accidently bumps her every so often... which puts her in all out tears.  Yep, she is our little drama queen.  =)

She is growing so fast...

We love you to peices little girl!

Oh, just some randomness (is that even a real word?)....

So, Rhoslyn has officially been a cranky pants the last few days.  Pretty sure some teeth may be on there way.... they should really just pop out already!  And, according to our little Princess... I am not allowed to do anything or walk away from her when she can see me.  So... here I am, finding myself sneaking out of the room where she is.  Terrible mommy, I know....

Alex has been little Mr. Personality lately.  He got his hair cut at a salon yesterday and boy was he showing off about it!  He wouldn't even put his winter hat on because he didn't want to ruin his 'spikes.'  He is too darn cute!  To celebrate the haircut (since mom usually does it), we took photo's of him today.  Although, his hair is so thick and heavy I didn't have the 'wax' to keep it standing up in spikes.  Still cute though!  Tonight we were playing "Packers" and Alex called himself Johny Packer Man, I was Kerri Packer Man, and Billy was Billy Packer Man.  Then he changed all of our names to Corny Packer Man.  (Corny is Corny corn picker from his John Deere books - courtesy of Gram and Gramp's Osowski).  He always has to wear his packer hat while paying packers and insisted on wearing Billy's work gloves.  He had us on the floor laughing tonight!  He is also doing AWESOME with the potty.  Seriously... I thought it was going to take forever to get him potty trained... but he is a pro and going pee and poop!

Now here is a little news on US (what a shocker, I know)!

Billy has been studying super hard in his classes for his Masters Degree.  Sadly he spends just about every night in the basement working on homework.  It seems to be going fairly well for him, but definitely an adjustment to be back in school.  I am pretty sure he is ready for Spring Break.  =)

As some of you may have noticed on Facebook, I am practicing my photography skills!  I have always loved taking photo's and had thought about doing photography in the past.  My wonderful husband let me splurge on a new camera and it has become my third baby!  I am having so much fun with it!  Right now I am working on building up a portfolio so I can start to aadvertise my photography.  I am very excited about the whole thing!

Other then that, we are enjoying life in Green Bay.  I of course, have enjoyed being near more shops!  =)

So many milestones, so little time!

Let's see here.... Alex is potty trained!  Huge milestone right there!  He isn't night-time trained but can pee and poop on the potty just fine.  We haven't had an accident in probably 4-5 days.  He goes when he needs to, we don't need to bug him too much unless it is before nap or bed.  He also wears undies for naps and keeps them dry.  Such a big step for him!  Plus... mom and dad are enjoying not changing his diapers!

Rhoslyn is sitting up on her own now.  She is still a little wobbly, but a whole new perspective for her!  She also LOVES baby biscuits and Mum Mum's.  We are also suspecting that some teeth may be coming soon... but you never know with babies!

These two huge milestones have happened within a week's time.  So crazy how fast children grow.

Date Night

This is how our home date night looked like last night..... you will laugh, I promise!

-Put Rhoslyn to bed.
-Put Alex to bed.
-1 minute later Alex gets out of bed and has to use the potty.
-Put Alex back to bed.
-Order dinner for delivery.  Alex gets back out of bed and claims he has to go potty... but he doesn't.
-Put Alex back to bed.
-10 minutes later, Rhoslyn starts to cry.  Put her pacifier back in.
-A little while later the delivery man rings the doorbell.  Alex wakes up.  Put him back to bed.
-Put a movie in.  Sit on the floor to eat dinner.
-Rhoslyn starts screaming.  Put her nuk back in and play her music.
-Try to sit down and eat dinner again.
-This time Rhoslyn starts screaming and crying.  Pick her up and soothe her.  Put her back to bed.
-Alex wakes up and asks why Rhoslyn is crying.  Assure him she is okay, put him back to bed.
-Finish dinner, watching movie (about 30 minutes into it).
-Rhoslyn is screaming and crying.  Doesn't want to be put down.
-Bring Rhoslyn out into the living room to snuggle.
-Try to put her back to bed, same thing.
-Bring her back out to the living room.  Decide, screw the movie and turn it off.

So, doesn't that sound like a great date night?! =)  I should also mention that I had to sleep with Rhoslyn on the recliner all night long.  Ugh.

More potty news

Alright, so I bribed Alex last night and told him that if he could pee on the potty I would give him a present..... SO, of course he did and he got a new train!

Today we were gone for most of the day and in the afternoon we decided to put undies on.  He had them on for quite awhile and never had to go to the bathroom.  We ate dinner and I told him he would need to sit on the potty after he was finished.  Guess what?!  He went pee again!!  We started a rewards chart and he was able to put a sticker on his chart.  Later on we were getting Rhoslyn in the tub in the kitchen and he yelled that he was going potty... he went into the bathroom all on his own, took off is undies and sat on his potty!

Seriously... this seems to be going so much easier then I had anticipated.  I just hope he continues to do such an awesome job!  Tomorrow we are going to try and wear undies all day long except nap time.  Wish me luck!!

He did it!!

...........Pooped on the potty that is!  We are so ecstatic!!  He was taking a bath and said he had to poop so we put him on and out came this tiny little poop (I know, way too much detail-what can I say, I am one proud mom right now)!

YAY for Alex, we are so proud of you!!!

(........I kind of bribed him and said if he can go pee or poop on the potty tomorrow I will give him a surprise)

Already a half a year old!

Rhoslyn is 6 months old today and to celebrate the occasion she had her six month check up with a new doctor!

Her appointment went great except those dreaded shots.  She is now 15lbs 14 oz. and 26 1/2 inches long.  She is in the 50th percentile for weight and about 75th for height.

A little about Rhoslyn at 6 months old:
-Giggles when she is tickled.
-Blows raspberries all of the time.
-Loves to chew and suck on anything!
-Pretty sure she has said mama twice ;)
-Has started to make a funny scrunched up face.
-Loves prunes!  Still not a huge fan of green veggies.
-Can roll both ways.
-Enjoys playing in her jumper and excasaucer.
-Loves to play with her feet.
-Consumes 25 oz. of formula a day and usually one container of baby food.
-Wears size 2 diapers, 3-6 month and some 6-9 month clothes.
-Loves to move (she kicks her legs and moves her arms all of the time).
-Cried and screamed at the doctor, before he even touched her! :)
-Loves her taggie like her big brother does.
-Sucks her thumb and fingers occasionally.
