The Easter bunny has arrived

There have been bunnies running around in our yard all day today and the Easter Bunny has finally arrived and filled the kids baskets full of goodies!  I know Alex is super excited for "Easter Day" and to find his basket in the morning.  Tomorrow our day is filled with dying eggs, enjoying the Easter baskets, and having our own egg hunt in the yard.

Wahhh!

Can I just cry and complain?!  Seriously, what is up with this weather?  Two more weeks until May and we are covered in snow... it's just not right!

Okay, I am done now!  Thanks for listening (or rather reading) my complaints.

No. More. Snow.

Being 3 is a huge deal!

So, Alex has turned three and has decided that he no longer would like to wear diapers or pull ups to bed (well at least last night) and he kept his undies dry all night long.  He has also decided he doesn't want to suck his thumb so we bought some "magic potion" and he hasn't sucked it in two days!  We also turned a dim lamp on in his room last night and he slept in bed all night long without coming to sleep with us (which has been going on for three weeks now).  I think we finally figured out that he is afraid of the dark right now.  So many accomplishments in just a few short days.  Seriously... he is just growing up too fast!

Happy 3rd Birthday Alex!

Alex has a great birthday today.  Daddy took the day off and we spent our morning opening presents, playing with new toys... and then headed over to the mall to play at Jump On It.  We were there for three hours and I bet we could have stayed longer.  He had a blast and mom and dad got right in there and jumped along with him.

Later in the afternoon Billy took Alex to pick out whatever cupcakes he wanted.  We did this last year and he really enjoyed it.  I am sure it will be a yearly tradition.  Well... they come home with an ice cream cake instead that Alex just HAD to have!  It was something I would pick for my own birthday!  Alex also made Billy buy a candle (even though we had some at home).  They picked out the #3 (which took some convincing because Alex wanted to be four instead of three).  As requested mom made buttered noodles with Parmesan (I know how boring, right?) and then we sang Happy Birthday and ate CAKE!

I asked Alex a few questions and here are his answers being a big three year old now!

Favorite Lunch:  Peanut butter and honey sandwich
Favorite Snack:  Chocolate bunnies (Annie's brand)
Favorite Color:  Brown (but this tends to change on a daily basis)
Favorite "Cars" Car: Mater
Favorite thing to wear: Pajama's
Favorite song:  Old time rock and roll
Favorite thing to play with outside:  "Lawn mower with lever."
What Alex likes about his sister:  Blowing raspberries with her.
What Alex likes about mom and dad:  Playing with them.
Favorite Ice cream:  Chocolate (that's my boy!)

Happy Birthday Alex, We love you!

Rhoslyn Laughing

Check out this belly laugh...

8 months old today!

Alright, I haven't posted in a month.... I promise I will be better! ;)  Now on to Rhoslyn who is already 8 months old (sigh, tear)!

She is changing so much and so fast!  The first thing that comes to mind about Rhoslyn right now is PUFF ADDICT!  She loves puff's and gets so excited when she sees the container!  She also enjoys yogurt melts and little bits of pancakes.  She DISLIKES green veggies, but loves just about everything else.

Everyone knows that Alex is a loud kid, and well... Rhoslyn is on her way to being just like her big brother.  In the last week she has really found her voice.
***Side note- she is in her jumper right now and I am pretty sure she just found some old puffs that she is now eating... oh goodness!****

Her and Alex have such a sweet relationship.  She doesn't like when mom walks away and starts crying.  Yesterday I could hear Alex saying to her, "It's okay baby girl, mommy will be right back."  Too sweet!  He adores her and she adores him.  I know things will change once she is grabbing his toys, but right now it's a precious sight.

Happy 7 month Rhoslyn!

Rhoslyn is seven months old today, can you believe it?!  I weighed her on our bathroom scale and it looks like she is 16 lbs.  Not sure what her length is but she is wearing 6-9 month clothes.
She is a happy and energetic little girl!  She loves to kick her legs when she is sitting or laying down.  She does not like when you eat in front of her unless you have something for her to nibble on... so she definately enjoys her bisquits and mum mum's.  She of course still LOVES baby food.  She is even learning how to use her sippy cups and she is getting pretty good at it too.

She loves getting attention and isn't too happy when you walk away.  Of course this makes it difficult for mom to get anything done.  She adores Alex, except when he accidently bumps her every so often... which puts her in all out tears.  Yep, she is our little drama queen.  =)

She is growing so fast...

We love you to peices little girl!
