What a great weekend!

We had such a nice weekend with the beautiful weather!

The kids had a lot of fun playing outside in the yard... especially since I put water in the water table!  Of course Rhoslyn tried to drink it.. yuck!

Don't mind Alex's shorts... yes they are pajama shorts (it's all he had clean... pretty bad, huh?!) Haha!

Rhoslyn loves to play with the sand.  She also likes to test it for taste as well.  YUMMY!!

Alex and I spent Sunday morning/ early afternoon at Bay Beach here in Green Bay.  He had so much fun!!  I love this place... I seriously only spent $15 and we even ate lunch there.  I wish that we would have visited earlier in the summer, but I know we will be making it back there at least one more time before summer ends!

He had a blast on all of the rides.  Such a fun place for all ages!  This was his first visit there and he was just in awe.  It was a great Sunday and I loved having that special time with him.

I hope this weather stays... it is perfect.

Our Toddler

Rhoslyn has now figured out that splashing in the tub is SO much fun!!  Last night she took a bath and the entire time she was in the tub she splashed.

She is officially pulling herself up to stand.  As soon as she see's anyone open the fridge she crawls like a mad woman to get to it.  Then she gets mad when you pull her away so you can close the door.  Silly girl.

She loves to play with sand in the sandbox just like her big brother!

She loves music!!

She has started shaking her head no as well and when she doesn't get her way she throws a hissy fit.

It's fun to see how much she has already changed in the last few weeks!

Happy 1st Birthday Rhoslyn!!

We cannot believe that our little girl is already one!  Where has the last year gone?  It feels like just yesterday when we were introducing her to Alex and holding her in our arms all day long.

Rhoslyn has changed and grown so much this last year!  She is trying to talk more and more everyday.  She can now say "mama" "dada" "hi" "Car" "Ball" "Gir" and she is working on her sign language and can do more and all done (well almost all done).  She claps her hands and puts them above her head when you say "so big!"  She crawls all over the place and will also get on all fours like an animal walks.  She is not pulling herself to stand or walking.

Today was such a special birthday for her because we able to have friends and family over to help her celebrate.  Her brother helped her open all of her gifts and when it was time for cake she dived right in without hesitation!  (Thats my girl!)

Check out all of those presents!!

Mmmmm, this cake is good!

"So Big!"

Such a happy girl on her birthday!  She loves playing with her brothers toys.

We are so happy to have her in our lives and we couldn't imagine a day without her.  We love you Rhoslyn!

Happy 1st Birthday Scooter!

Poor little girl..

Doesn't this just break your heart?  It breaks mine, thats for sure.  Our poor little girl has such a nasty cold.  She has spent most of the day today napping and most of the night last night crying.  She sounds as bad as she looks.  Crying wears her out so much that she wants to fall asleep afterwards.  It truely makes me want to cry looking at her.  She looks so sad and so sick.

I know you are probably thinking it's a bit weird of me to take these photos... but I feel like we need to cherish and remember as many memories, whether they are good or bad.  My goal with doing this blog is that I can print it out and keep it to look back on our memories.

Lets hope this little girl gets back to herself soon.  She has a big week coming up and is turning the BIG ONE next Sunday.  We need her ready to smash and eat up that cake!

Preschool

I wish I could take my camera with to Alex's preschool and take photo's of his face sometimes when I pick him up.  It's really priceless.  I suppose I could take my camera... but I don't want to look like a dork mom or anything.  Haha!

He is really enjoying it there and I am sad that he only has one more week left and then it's a month break before the fall session starts.  Today when I walked into the room he was sitting by his friend Cooper and had the biggest smile on his face.  When I ask him about her he just gets this cute little grin.  It's too funny.  Yesterday they walked over to the playground and he thought that was really cool.  He could see the kids swimming at the big pool and told me we need to buy a big pool like that.  Somehow I don't think that would fit in the backyard!

Him going to preschool has really been one of the best decisions we could have made.  It's crazy to think that just next September he will be going to 4k!

Cutie Patootie!

I guess you could say that I am having some fun doing Rhoslyn's hair!  These photo's are from her first little pig tails.  She hates when I do her hair and it can be quite the battle.  She'll learn...  =)

First day of preschool

We have been talking about this for a few weeks and he has been so excited!  Last night we told him that today was the big day.  He was so excited that he couldn't even fall asleep.  He giggled and smiled every time he got out of bed.  Finally I told him that the faster he falls asleep the faster preschool will come.  It did the trick, and he finally went to bed around 9:30.

When we arrived he was a bit intimidated by all of the kids, but when the teachers told the kids to sit in a circle he sat down and that was my cue to leave.  I got there a bit early and peaked through the window on the door and it looked like he was having a fun time.

When the teacher opened the door for the parents to come in Alex put his head down a bit.  When I asked him what was wrong he said there were a lot of kids, but later in the car he told me he was sad that I picked him up because he wanted to stay at preschool.  He told me that he met a child named Cooper and I asked if he had played with HIM... his reply was "No mom, Cooper is a girl."  Oops.  He also told me there were more Alex's in the class.

He said they played with dinosaurs and saw lady bugs and read a story about ears and hearing.  He told me he wanted to go to regular school because they had more trucks.  I laughed at this.

I should mention that this is more of a camp program through the park and rec department.  He will also be attending something similar in the fall but it will be more preschool based.  They hold the class in the community center so the teachers bring activities and toys.  I think he was sad about the fact that there wasn't a room full of toys.  :)

He told me he had a lot of fun and he really liked preschool!
